WAKEING UP SHANGÓ
We awaken Shangó when we need to: solve problems with justice, impartially evaluate a situation, exercise authority, make other people respect us, make justice prevail, pay debts, manage business, organize and direct groups, manage finances, have practical sense.
LET'S START
ALTAR WITH SHANGÓ
After preparing the altar, add one or more of these objects:
AN AXE
A BUNDLE OF OBJECTS BOUND TOGETHER
THE IMAGE OF AN EAGLE
PREPARATION OF THE REQUEST
Place the icon of Shangó in the center of your altar. Start talking ALOUD explaining why you need the help of this force, this genius or archetype called Shangó. At the end of your speech, place the consecrated coins in your offering container and close the ritual.
CLOSING OF THE RITUAL
The Shangó ritual ends by sprinkling on your head, an ointment that must have been previously consecrated by the moral authority. This is a slightly more complex closure than normal. Prepare an ointment (almond oil, olive oil, etc...) Add something that makes it more than an oil (essences, perfumes, spices...). Place the ointment in a small container and look for a place where moral authority is exercised. Usually, in the West, the easiest and most accessible places are the churches. It doesn't matter whether you are a believer or not, what matters is the symbolic impact that this gesture will have on our subconscious. All of us, believers, pagans, atheists, agnostics or whatever we are, we all know that for a long time, ecclesiastical authority was the undisputed moral authority. Our subconscious knows that the place where the priests are is the place of moral authority. So, let's go to a sacred place and consecrate your ointment. We can do this by adding a drop of holy water, or by passing it over the fire of a candle or the smoke of incense. The important thing is that this must be done in an official sacred place. Now, anoint your head with your sacred oil. What is left over, you can save for other rituals dedicated to Shangó. This metaphor for the subconscious brings to mind the concept of the Sacred King or Anointed King which was the highest form of sovereignty.
MANTRA OF "THANK YOU"
After completing the ritual you can (I recommend it) recite a mantra for 21 minutes whose only word to pronounce is: THANK YOU.
Gratitude has great transformative power, seeing is believing.
AFTER THESE THREE STEPS THE PROCESS OF AWAKENING YOUR SUBCONSCIOUS POTENTIAL BEGINS
IF NECESSARY, REPEAT UNTIL YOUR GOAL IS REACHED
